“I signed up for Lisa’s program when I realized I had turned into a shuffler while I was running. Oh, and also my ten-year-old grandson started beating me in sprints, but I may never catch him again. I have been running on trails over the past ten or so years, and much to my chagrin I had slowed down quite a bit when I decided to hit the roads again. With thirty-five years of running under my feet, I wanted to compete on the roads again, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle being at the back of the pack in my age division. I’ve had coaches in the past, and so I knew the smartest way to approach this endeavor was to find someone who could help me.
I would highly recommend Lisa for anyone who wants to improve their form, time, or if you just want to start running. Lisa has helped me gain the confidence I once had as a competitor, and my times are improving. Since I started working with Lisa this year, I have placed first in my age division in three races (one of them the Utah Half Marathon) and second place in another race. Lisa really listens to each of us and knows what we are capable of doing. ”

“I signed up for Lisa’s program because I never enjoyed running but wanted to get better at it for Triathlon’s and general health reasons.
I would recommend it to a friend because it is a supportive and friendly group and Lisa makes you want to keep coming back.
I would add that I went from barely making it through a 5K at the beginning of the session to running 10 miles last weekend, in the snowstorm! Lisa has not only turned me into a runner, she has helped me push myself to a place where I love running and that is something I never thought I would say.”

I knew I needed to do something and the gym didn’t sound appealing. The idea of getting what amounts to a personal trainer in a group setting sounded ideal. I was very hesitant to put it mildly but Lisa reassured me that we would progress at a pace that was reasonable and appropriate for me- without too many beatings
It’s been great for me. I’ve accomplished more than I thought possible (who knew I would *like* running??) and have met some really great people in the process.

“In July of 2012 I set a goal to run my first 5K in October. By the end of July I realized I had a big problem, I could not bring my self to run outside. I had only run on the treadmill and was a little scared to run outside. When I received the e-mail from Salt Lake Running Company talking about the 9 to 5K training program offered by Lisa, I knew I had to sign up. I am so happy that I did. With Lisa’s training I was able to run my first 5K in October and will start training with her in January for my first Half Marathon!
With this program you get individaulized training programs, not a one size fits all program. Lisa takes the time to get to know you and the goals you have set for yourself. The other great thing about the program has been great getting to know the other participants. You not only have Lisa cheering you on, but everyone in the group cheering you on!”

“I signed up with Lisa because I need to get faster on my run for triathlons. She had me set goals at the beginning of training a couple months ago and assured me that, even though they were a bit lofty, they were attainable. I ended up increasing my long run speed about a minute per mile in 3 weeks.

I joined the Couch to 5K January of 2013. I am so excited for my first 5K Race April 20, 2013. I have already signed up for Lisa’s next class schedule wanting to get to the next challenge of a 10K or further. Lisa listens to yor wants and your scares and helps you through it, she helps you make plans and challenges you want to stick to.
No matter what your age or skill level is at, you can do it.
