Is the Thursday running group for all skill levels? I’m pretty out of shape, but I’m trying to get into running. Could I still come on the runs?
Yes, anyone and everyone can come regardless of fitness level.
Your great article (http://saltlakerunningco.com/home/2012/06/beat-the-heat-run-in-the-early-morning/) recommends running in the early morning to beat the heat. So, why do you guys then have a running group out in the heat of the day? Why not an early morning group, at least during the summer?
Things start to cool off around 7:00 pm so usually these runs are quite nice. The evening runs are much easier for people to attend during the summer. In the winter, we will switch the group back to Saturday mornings when it is sunny out, but for now we keep them in the evening. Also, stay tuned for our blog about how you have to run in the heat to get used to it.
I noticed you mentioned switching it to Saturday mornings during the colder months. Are you still on the Thursday schedule right now? A friend and I are looking to attend just want to make sure we have the time right!
I just called and was told it’s still on Thursday evenings, but at 6pm, not 7:00. Hope that helps!
Do these runs still happen?
